Today was amazing. It started with my aunty joan cooking us a full English Breakfast, including eggs, tomato, spaghetti, mushrooms, fried bread, bacon and sausage - was delicious. After breakfast she drove us to Hounslow West tube station, where we bought day passes for the London transport system, at a decent price. We rode to Kensington South and then swapped trains and got off at Victoria. As we came out we spotted the London eye and made our way across the Millenium Bridge towards the embankment. The Millenium Bridge was new to me, but was opened in 2003. We posed for photos with different sights in the background, and continued to walk across.
Whilst we were still walking across the millenium bridge, in noticed dillon talking to a woman with his wallet out in his hand. She was holding a bunch of hand made crepe paper roses, when i saw them i remembered the scam, where people sell these flowers to tourists, and when they open their wallet to give them a few coins, they see how much money they have and later rob them. I attempted to intervene, and the woman looked at me with a snarly look and said i only wanted a pound. Dillon, thought i was overreacting and stresed that he was just trying to be niceto her by buying one of her flowers. He didnt get that i was concerned not about him, but for him.
We continued onto the Embankment, where we were delighted by all the different strett performers there. It was great. We then joined the queues for the London eye, which remarkably moved quite fast. We may have queued for 20 mins. Once on the eye the views were spectacular- we had 360 deg views of London. The eye took half an hour to complete a full rotation so moved quite slowly and was not scary at all. We all loved it. Everyne was taking photos with the camera, just having a blast.
After the eye we went into Sea Life. It was great in there, and quite a bit bigger than Kelly Tarltons. After Sea Life we headed across the bridge to the Houses of Parliamet and Big Ben. /that too was cool. We went into the grounds of WEstminster Abbey but didnt go in as it was 16 poiunds per person. We continued on to Buckingham Palace via St /james parkk. AS we strolled in the park, we saw a squirrel sitting watching.
Following Buckingham Palace we caught the tube to Baker Street, and went into Madame Tussauds. Josh Dillon and Dom had a blast in there, it was fantastic. They even had an all black in there. When i saw old JOhnny the captain of the english rugby team, i wanted to do an L shaped gestrue in front of him for the camera - but alas one of the kids had the camera elsewhere lol.
We then caught the tube back to Hounslow. That in itself was amazing too. How many people can you fit safely into a tube? AS long as their bodies dont get jammed in the door there is room lol.
At one stage of our trip today when we were changing trains, Dillon managed to get on before door closed, then he realised that we werent on the train with him, but too late doors were shut and he was gone lol. He knew where we were going though, so he jumped off at the right station and waited for us.
